Torino president Urbano Cairo has confirmed that Joe Hart is unlikely to sign for the club permanently due to his high wages.
The goalkeeper is on loan from Manchester City and has rediscovered his confidence after being dropped by Pep Guardiola.
He has repeatedly been linked with a return to the Premier League for the likes of Liverpool and Everton.
“We will enjoy Hart and cuddle him, but we know he’s not our player and his wages are not accessible for us,” President Cairo told La Stampa newspaper.
“We’ll see what we’re going to do in June.”
Cairo was also asked about Torino interest in Roma forward Juan Manuel Iturbe.
“I like him, but the January transfer market is never banal. Torino remain my priority, we are targeting Europe and declared that from the start of the season. I would’ve liked to aim for the Champions League, but one must balance the books.”
