Juventus forward Paulo Dybala admits he may be “lacking a little confidence” after failing to score in any of his five appearances this season.

Dybala scored 23 goals for Juve last season, his first after joining from Palermo, and having yet to break his duck in 2016-17, the Argentine blames himself, not teething problems with new strike partner Gonzalo Higuain.
“Higuain? Gonzalo’s a very important player for Juventus, as are all our new signings. They will help us to improve on what we achieved last year,” he told ESPN.
“On a personal level, I started last season better so maybe I’m lacking a little confidence in front of goal, but I always try to make my contribution in other ways, running more for my teammates or winning balls back in defensive areas.”
Last season Dybala formed a good understanding with Paul Pogba but the Frenchman left to join Manchester United for a world record fee.
Higuain and Miralem Pjanic were two of the players signed by Juventus to help improve the squad following the departure of Pogba and although the team won their opening three games in Serie A they were defeated 2-1 by arch rivals Inter Milan on Sunday.
