The Red Devils face Everton at Old Trafford on Wednesday five points shy of city rivals Manchester City but with a game in hand.
Jose Mourinho’s men are currently in the midst of a 19-match unbeaten run but a slew of draws – particularly at home – has stymied their Champions League ambitions.
"I think we will make it and we will be there. We have gained the points we need to be in the Champions League, though we are on the limit now.
“A little bit more and we will reach the top four I believe," said Ibrahimovic.
There has been much speculation regarding the 35-year-old’s future with the Swede apparently stalling on signing the option to stay at United for a further year.
Reports emerged on Tuesday suggesting that the former PSG forward had penned a deal with MLS side LA Galaxy.

However, while not addressing his future, Ibrahimovic said he is relishing a return to playing following a three-match suspension after an altercation with Bournemouth’s Tyrone Mings.
"I'm better at it than I used to be," he added. "Before I was more emotional and deep into my feelings, now it's more that I look at the game and I have trust in my teammates, I have confidence in them.
"It's part of the game, you can't always play. Sometimes you are out for injuries or suspensions like in my case or for other reasons. You learn from everything.
"I feel good. I missed Old Trafford and the games with my team, but finally I am back and hopefully I come back with positive vibes."
