The Canadian squared off with Ben Cavet of France in the final, demonstrating the form he has shown through the entire season to pick up his seventh victory of the campaign – and the honour of season champion to go alongside it.
Both athletes were throwing down identical jump combos, with Cavet more than locking horns with his opponent's speed before eventually falling on the wrong side of a 21-19 score.
That proved enough to confirm the inevitable for Kingsbury, a sixth overall title to his name as his moguls domination shows no signs of stopping.
"That was one of the craziest duals days I've had," said Kingsbury.
"But I felt really good today. I skied some strong duals against Dmitriy (Rieherd) and Daichi (Hara) in the blue course, which wasn't the one I skied yesterday in singles. And then for the final I was back on the red course and it was all good.
"Now I just want to get some good quality skiing in China and then head to Spain on a mission to win two gold medals (at the world championships)."
Jaelin Kauf claimed the first win of her young career by claiming an exciting dual moguls event to close out a thrilling weekend in Japan.
In just her second full season and 16th competition on the World Cup tour, Kauf once again showed her pace to be an important asset to the duals competition, getting the better of Yulia Galysheva of Kazhakstan in the final.
Their 19-16 scoreline was the closest of the season in the women's competition, enough for the American to take the third podium of her career, all of which have come in the duals.
"I can't really describe how I'm feeling right now," said Kauf. "I was just pushing the speed all day and trying to beat the other girls down the course. I wasn't expecting this to happen, but it's amazing and I couldn't be happier."
Fellow American and 16-year-old Olivia Gaccio took third in just her first season and ninth contest on the tour.
There was also plenty of attention further down the field, as a ninth-place finish for Britteny Cox secured overall World Cup title for the Australian.
