This itinerant competition set up every year in a different country of Latin America, is the most important international Group 1 horse race of the subcontinent.

The $500,000 Longines Gran Premio Latinoamericano brought together 16 runners for a 1 1/2-mile test at Valparaiso Sporting Club in Viña del Mar, Chile.
