Highlights of Tuesday's NHL games

Golden Knights 5, Coyotes 2

James Neal continued his hot start with a pair of goals and Marc-Andre Fleury picked up his third win in net with 31 saves to lead the Vegas Golden Knights to a 5-2 victory over the Arizona Coyotes in the team's first home game at T-Mobile Arena.

The Golden Knights (3-0-0) became the first NHL expansion team to win its first three games. The California Seals and Los Angeles Kings started their franchises with two wins before they tied each other in their third game in 1967.

Tomas Nosek, Deryk Engelland and Oscar Lindberg also scored for the Golden Knights and Tobias Rieder and Kevin Connauton had the Coyotes goals.

Predators 6, Flyers 5

Filip Forsberg scored on the power play at 19:24 of the third period, capping a rally from a two-goal, third-period deficit as Nashville stunned Philadelphia.

Scott Hartnell tied it on a six-on-three power play at 18:43 after Philadelphia took two minors on the same sequence and the Predators pulled their goalie.

After the goal, Flyers coach Dave Hakstol challenged for offside and lost, giving the Predators another power play for delay of game under a new rule.

Blackhawks 3, Canadiens 1

Chicago goaltender Corey Crawford, playing in his hometown, spoiled Montreal's home opener, making 41 saves in the Blackhawks' win. Crawford improved his record against the Canadiens to 8-0-2.

Alex DeBrincat, who got his first goal in the NHL; Brandon Saad, who scored his fifth goal of the season; and Artem Anisimov scored for the Blackhawks, who remained undefeated in regulation time (3-0-1).

Stars 4, Red Wings 2

Mattias Janmark and John Klingberg each had a goal and an assist, and Ben Bishop stopped 23 shots as Dallas earned its first win of the season, beating Detroit.

Tyler Seguin and Martin Hanzal also scored for the Stars, who got coach Ken Hitchcock his 782nd career victory, tying him with Al Arbour for third-most in NHL history.

Blue Jackets 2, Hurricanes 1 (overtime)

Sonny Milano scored his second goal of the game on a breakaway with 31 seconds remaining in overtime as Columbus defeated Carolina.

Jeff Skinner scored the lone goal for the Hurricanes for his first goal of the season.

Blues 3, Rangers 1

Carl Gunnarsson scored 15 seconds into the game, and St. Louis went on to victory over New York.

Brayden Schenn and Jaden Schwartz also scored, and Carter Hutton made 32 saves in his first start of the season for the Blues (4-0-0).

Kevin Shattenkirk scored and Henrik Lundqvist made 20 saves for the Rangers.

Senators 3, Canucks 2 (shootout)

Mark Stone scored in the fifth round of a shootout to give Ottawa a win over Vancouver.

Cody Ceci and Ryan Dzingel scored in regulation for the Senators.

Thomas Vanek scored for the Canucks and played a role in Chris Tanev's goal. Henrik Sedin had two assists for Vancouver.
