The 29-year-old stole the show in the single-run event – narrowed due to sled problems – crossing the line in 38.796 seconds to add to her bronze in lake Placid.
It ended what has been a tough week in the competition, with some runners not having the chance to train courtesy of transportation issues with the equipment.
But Gough held her own on home ice, with German pair Natalie Geisenberger and Tatjana Huefner rounding off the podium, separated by just two hundredths of a second.
But the difference between them in the overall standings is even tighter, the two locked at the top boasting 310 points and an identical record in this, the third location of racing.
"This is one of my home tracks, so it was great to come out here and have an amazing run and to see that land me on top of the podium," said Gough, who sits fourth overall, 28 points adrift of Dajana Eitberger and the top three.
"I was really excited to get back on a sled and get sliding. We've been in kind of a holding pattern for four days.
"We were fortunate to have a bit of a break between training and the race and made the most of it."
The World Cup heads to Utah’s Park City on December 16, the last event before the Christmas break.
