The change adjusts the shape of MotoGP's summer lull, which had previously been a pair of three-week gaps between races either side of the Sachsenring event.
With Germany now just one week on from the Dutch TT at Assen, the summer gap will last just over one month from the Sachsenring on July 2 to the Czech GP at Brno on August 6.
Germany's new MotoGP deal had to be completed in two stages this year.
The contract was initially agreed with the promoter but without a venue stipulated before it was resolved that the race would stay at the Sachsenring - its home since 1998 - through to 2022.
