Price improved his position in the tournament, now only behind Paulo Gonclaves and Stefan Svitko, who lead the event overall in first and second respectively.

The 28 year old riding for the KTM Factory team, finished the stage first in 4 hours, 3 minutes and 21 seconds. It was the second stage the Australian had taken out at this years event, crossing first on stage 2 to consolidate his position with the pack leaders.

Price finished ahead of Svitko and Matthais Walker by just under three minutes. Originally team mate Antoine Meo had finished second, behind by 2 minutes and 21 seconds, until Meo was penalised five minutes and ended up eighth overall for the stage.

Price was happy with the result, but admitted the stage was very difficult.

"I caught a couple of other guys and got in some dust. I made a couple of little errors in the end there, because I was a little too worried to take my eyes off the road. It was a pretty crazy track."

Coming in fourth overall behind Price is Joan Barreda, who was on the end of speeding penalty during the fourth stage. Walkner, the Australian, rounds out the top five.
