It will be the Oldham-born 34-year-old's first international as a referee, having been a touchjudge for the 2014 Four Nations Series final.
Hicks, who became a Super League referee in 2010, is also the Rugby Football League's legal and compliance manager.
One of his touchjudges at Parramatta's Pirtek Stadium will be Tim Roby, a former Super League referee who emigrated to Australia 12 months ago.
Australian Gerard Sutton will referee Friday's Trans-Tasman Test between Australia and New Zealand in Newcastle.
