Wales survived a scare to beat Fiji 23-13 in a nail-biting game at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.
The Dragons, who were without Scott Williams, Cory Allen, Hallam Amos and Liam Williams, made an explosive start to the match and scored two first-half tries.
Gareth Davies touched down for his fourth try of the tournament following a dummy before Scott Baldwin bulldozed his way through after a slick passing move.
But the islanders dominated much of the second period and scored one of the tries of the tournament to reduce their deficit with Asaeli Tikoirotuma steamrolling through before offloading for Vereniki Goneva to cross the line.

But Dan Biggar was masterful with his kicks and scored two penalties in the latter stages, to add to his two conversions, to give the home side breathing space and seal a win which keeps them top of Pool A.

TALKING POINT

Davies thought he had his fifth try of the tournament with a late score but the decision was ruled out by the TMO. It was not a popular decision in the stadium understandably but it showed the benefit of the technology which does not have to handle the pressure, unlike an official, of a partisan home crowd booing the call. TMO has had mixed reviews in the tournament but this decision showed its value in taking the heat off the man in the middle.
