Michael Hayboeck proved his trial run success was no fluke to take his first win of the season in the first of two World Cup competitions in Engelberg, Switzerland.

Jumps of 138m – the best in the opening round – and 134m paved the way for a victorious 304.7 points for the Austrian, taking the spoils in the first-ever night event on Titlis Hill.
The 25-year-old had also had a good run prior to competition getting underway, while jumps of 132m and 137.5m from Slovenian Domen Prevc saw him take second place, 3.1 points further back.
And there was more Austrian success in the form of Andreas Kofler, rounding off the podium ahead of Sunday's second competition with 293 points thanks to jumps of 128m and 139.5 – the latter the highest in the second round.
"I was a bit nervous before the second round, I definitely didn't want to lose that lead," said Hayboeck.
"The Swiss soil is obviously good for me. Engelberg is a special place for me, I always love coming here.
"I always liked the old hill, and now I like the new one even better. When we came here I was hoping that the hill didn't change too much. Now I won and I know that the new hill suits me as well."
But it's 17-year-old Prevc who kept up his Overall World Cup lead, now sitting more than 90 points clear with 440 to his name.
Norway's Daniel-Andre Tande – who finished fourth in the first day of competition – sits second overall with 358 points, while Stefan Kraft of Austria is a further 87 points adrift.
Prevc said: "Today I'm especially happy with my second jump. It was one of my best jumps this season.
"I hope that I can show two good jumps in tomorrow's competition."
But with another day of competition to come in Switzerland, Hayboeck will be confident of another solid display to boost his overall eighth-place showing in the standings.
