Ronnie O'Sullivan whitewash secures second round for the Rocket at the English Open

Fresh from his European Masters defeat on Sunday, Ronnie O'Sullivan bounced back in sensational form to secure a place in the second round of the English Open.
O'Sullivan won the opening frame of his match against compatriot Jimmy Robertson, breaking just shy of a century with 97, before taking his second frame by a slightly less commanding 70-42.
But Ronnie the Rocket made light work of the third to score 63-2.
The former world no.1 ended on a high, breaking with 66 to win his fourth and final frame 90-25 to whitewash his opponent.
Meanwhile, O'Sullivan's Masters adversary Trump was on fine form to make light work of Irishman Ken Doherty in his first round match on Tuesday.
Trump took a convincing lead over Doherty breaking with 71 to win the first frame and the world No 3 stormed ahead by three frames, after a second-frame break of 64 and third-frame run of 56.
However, it was Doherty who recorded the highest break of the match picking up 75 to get a foot back in the game in the fourth frame, winning 75-8.
The comeback was short-lived, however, with Trump pipping him to the post in the fifth an final frame (63-53), to win the match 4-1.
