World champion Selby was a 5-3 winner over Ryan Day while 2015 champion Bingham enjoyed a 5-1 victory over Ali Carter boosted by a 58 and 91.
"I’m over the moon to be in the semi-finals,” said Bingham.
"It’s great to play the world number one and reigning World Champion. It’s always a good occasion.”

Ding thrills Chinese fans with 103 break

China's DIng Junhui is also through to the last four in his homeland courtesy of a 5-3 win against Michael Holt, who had ousted Ronnie O'Sullivan a day earlier.
The World Championship finalist Ding compiled breaks of 45, 53 and 46 in moving 2-0 ahead before Holt restored parity at 2-2 with a 77 and 50.
A 103 from Ding and 64 from Holt saw the next two frames shared, but world number nine Ding finished matters off to the delight of the home fans with closing breaks of 61, 38 and 30.
“I played well during the match, but in the last couple of frames we both missed,” said Ding.
