Ronnie O'Sullivan overcomes stubborn Gary Wilson

Gary Wilson gave an excellent account of himself as he battled hard against Ronnie O'Sullivan, but 'The Rocket' progressed 10-6 in the first round of the World Championship.

O'Sullivan raced into an early lead in the first session on Saturday, but by the end of the evening Wilson had pegged him back to 5-4.
O'Sullivan took the opening frame of Sunday's session but Wilson responded with his first century of the match.

Not to be out done O'Sullivan hit his second ton with a break of 124 to open up a two frame lead again.
It appeared as if the match was heading towards a conclusion when O'Sullivan knocked in two quick frames to move to 9-5... but Wilson wasn't finished.

Despite missing a blue Wilson took the 16th and 17th frames to make it 9-7, which included his second century of the match.
However he finally came unstuck with O'Sullivan battling well to make sure he took the tenth frame he needed to progress to the next round.
