Elise Christie will miss the final World Cup of the season as she continues to recover from a concussion sustained two weeks ago.
The current 500m world record holder missed last weekend's event in Dresden, and has been left out of Great Britain's squad heading to Minsk, Belarus, this weekend.
Having chosen to miss the recent European Short Track Championships with the goal of better preparing for March's world championships, in Rotterdam, she will now not have any competitive racing ahead of the Dutch season finale.
The 26-year-old Scot had enjoyed a stellar start to the season, leading the 500m World Cup rankings ahead of Dresden, and sitting second in the 1,000m leaderboard.
And she insists the injury will not affect her performances, with preparation for the World Championships now at the forefront of her mind.
"I've had some problems with concussion, so haven't been able to race but I'm getting better," she said.
"These things take time and my focus is the World Championships in March and getting better for those.
"I'm feeling really confident on the ice at the moment, and feel like I have a presence which is a good feeling and it's the best form I have ever been in for sure."
