Elise Christie continues gold rush in South Korea

Elise Christie continued her golden start to the season after claiming victory in the Ladies' 1,000m at the latest World Cup in Gangneung in South Korea.
The Scot clocked a time of 1:29.339 to win the gold medal ahead of world number one Choi Min Jeong, who crossed the line in 1:29.432.
The victory for Christie follows on from her double gold success over 500m at the World Cup in Shanghai last weekend, and she will go for gold once more in the second 1,000m event of the weekend on Sunday.
Elsewhere, South Korea picked up two wins of their own, with Shim Suk-Hee taking gold in the 1,500m and double Olympic champion Lee Jung-Su winning the men's equivalent.
Marianne St-Gelais and Kim Boutin rounded off the podium behind Shim, who crossed the line in 2:32.346, while Lee captured his second straight World Cup gold with 2:14.317 ahead of Sjinke Knegt and Semen Elistratov in second and third respectively.
In the men's 1,000m, Nurbergen Zhumagaziyev edged out Pascal Dion to take the win with a score of 1:26.033.
Dion's Canadian compatriot Patrick Duffy took the final podium place, sealing bronze with 1:25.989.
The men's 1,500m final, as well as those of the men's and women's 1,000m will take place on Saturday, while the second 1,000m finals for both men and women, the 500m finals and those of the relay will be completed on Sunday.
