Following a tough start to the season Djokovic parted ways with his coaching staff and has since been operating without a designated coach.
There had been plenty of speculation about who would take over but following his defeat to Alexander Zverev in the final of the ATP Rome Masters Djokovic revealed that eight-times Grand Slam winner Agassi was his new trainer.
Djokovic said that he has been in contact with Agassi over the past few weeks and that the American has been watching his matches.
"We will be together in Paris. We talked on the phone two weeks ago. Then we'll see what happens in the future."
Djokovic added: "We are both excited about working together, but we have no long-term agreements and he is not going to be with me for the whole tournament.

The Coach: Zverev uses big backhand just like Djokovic

He was a revolutionary tennis player and a legend of tennis. I have a deep respect for him as a person and a tennis player. It's true that he has been off the circuit for the last 10 to 15 years, but I understand he knows all the players and has seen all the great matches on TV.
There has been no confirmation about how the arrangement will run, with Agassi having recently said that he didn't feel as if he could return to the tour as a full hands-on coach.
It has been suggested that Agassi could work as a consultant, mainly for the majors, with another coach to work with Djokovic throughout the season, similar to how Andy Murray normally works with Jamie Delgado and then has Ivan Lendl as a consultant.
