Andy Murray and Ivan Lendl have announced that they have “mutually agreed” to end their coaching relationship for the second time.
Lendl was Murray’s coach between 2012 and 2014 when the Scot won Wimbledon, the US Open and Olympic gold.
Amelie Mauresmo then took over as Murray’s coach before Lendl returned in 2016.
That year proved to be Murray’s most successful as he won a second Olympic gold, a second Wimbledon and became the world number one.
In a statement on Murray’s website the Scot said "I'm thankful to Ivan for his help and guidance over the years,
"We've had great success and learned a lot as a team. My focus now is on getting ready for Australia with the team I have in place and getting back to competing."
Lendl added “I wish Andy well going forward. We had a great run and a lot of fun."
Murray has been plagued with injury in 2017 and has slipped down to 16th in the world rankings.
He has spoken about how he wants to return to action at the Australian Open in January.
