Nick Kyrgios says he will partner Andy Murray in doubles 'assuming he ever gets fit'

The 22-year-old engaged in a highly amusing and insightful Q&A with fans on Twitter in which he touched upon a very wide range of topics: from the chances of a male player under six foot winning a Grand Slam to who has the best hair on the ATP Tour and who are the best and worst dancers.

But perhaps the most interesting line came when the wildly unpredictable Australian was asked whether he will play doubles with Murray.

Kyrgios took the opportunity to not only reveal that he would certainly join forces with the British number one, but also to have a bit of fun at his friend's expense regarding his recent injury struggles.

As for the Australian Open? He teased some big news ahead of the doubles draw.

A good question came in from a fan who asked if any man under six-foot tall will ever win another Grand Slam? Bearing in mind both Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal are only fractionally above six foot, Kyrgios's answer was surprisingly emphatic.

Kyrgios also provided an amusing answer when asked what the hardest thing about facing Roger Federer was, citing his wife, Mirka.

As for who has the worst hair on the ATP Tour?

His doubles partner at the US Open and compatriot Matthew Reid came in for a few laughs, particularly around his dancing.

Kyrgios took to social media on Thursday to announce that persistent hip problems led to his decision to cut his season short, insisting he must "listen to my body and my team".

The world number 20 lost his grandfather earlier in the year, while he admitted in September that he has not fully committed to his career since the death of his grandmother two years ago.
