Milos Raonic made a winning start to his French Open campaign with a 6-3 6-3 7-6 (7-5) win over Janko Tipsarevic in the first round at Roland Garros.
The Canadian eighth seed threw down 10 aces in the progressing against the Serbian, who is ranked a lowly 680 in the world.
Raonic - the Australian Open semi-finalist - threw down 10 aces to secure a match with another unseeded figure, Mikhail Kukushkin or Adrian Mannarino, in the second round.
Raonic's best performance at the tournament came two years ago when he reached the quarter-final.
He missed last year's event after recovering from foot surgery, but will be expecting a decent run this time around, despite his big serve being better suited to faster surfaces.
