MATCH OF THE DAY

World no.2, Great Britain's Andy Murray has met reigning French Open champion Stan Wawrinka 15 times - winning on eight of those occasions, but the Swiss did knock Murray out of the ATP World Tour finals last year, however.
Though Murray is the higher seeded player by one place, Wawrinka - the third seed - has had some pretty decisive victories over the course of the tournament, while Murray has often looked like he was fighting an uphill battle.
Regardless, Murray will have his work cut out for him on Friday if he wants to over-power big-hitter Wawrinka.

POTENTIAL UPSET OF THE DAY

Ranked 58th in the world, the Netherlands' Kiki Bertens has had to go some to get to the semi-finals, but she seems to have done so with relative ease, knocking out the third and 15th seeds along the way.

Bertens has only dropped two sets in the entire tournament, one more than no.1 Serena WIlliams who is desperately chasing Stefi Graf's record of 22 Grand Slam titles. However, Wiliams has not looked at her best in this tournament, not least in her quarter-final match against world number 60 Yulia Putintseva who looked perilously close to unravelling the American. Could Kiki Bertens do the job? Well, probably not, but stranger things have happened in the women's game of late.
