Nick Kyrgios was subjected to a barrage of boos during his semi-final loss to Roger Federer at the Miami Open and finally lashed out during the final set tiebreak.

One over-excited Miami fan shouted mid-rally with the deciding tiebreak poised at 5-5, and Kyrgios – who was distracted by the noise – couldn’t hold in his frustration with the barracking any longer, shouting “What are you doing?! Shut the f*** up” at the crowd member.

The reaction only further riled up the American crowd, with Kyrgios going on to lose the next two points as his veteran opponent set up a final against Rafa Nadal.
Yet the reaction on social media was largely in support of Kyrgios, with Boris Becker leading the criticism of the Miami crowd.
And it wasn’t just Federer fans who feel Kyrgios gets a rough deal, with the Swiss 35-year-old telling reporters after the game that he feels the Australian is “good for the game”:
Crowds jump on him pretty quickly, but it makes for a good atmosphere at the end of the day, so it's not all that bad. I think he's good for the game.
