Bouchard battered by Siniakova

Canadian starlet Eugenie Bouchard suffered yet another blow as she was knocked out of the US Open in the first round.
Bouchard, who made the fourth round at Flushing Meadows in both the last two years, fell a set behind the Czech teenager - who is ranked 72nd in the world.
And while Bouchard squared the match, she then had no answer to her opponent in the final set.

The 22-year-old Bouchard's epic achievements of 2014 - when she made the semi-finals in Melbourne and Paris, and the final at Wimbledon - have never seemed further away.
Worse still, the lawsuit she launched against the US Open organisers over the locker room slip that left her concussed at the tournament last year is still rumbling on - and many claim it is taking her focus off what happens on the court.

Serbia's Ana Ivanovic collapsed in the second set to lose in the opening round of the US Open, going down 7-6(4) 6-1 against Denisa Allertova.
Seeded 29th, Ivanovic was strongly fancied to waltz past an opponent who is in the lower reaches of the top 100.

Ivanovic, who married German football legend Bastian Schweinsteiger this summer, is still just 28, despite having been on tour for 12 full seasons.
But it is now eight years since she made a Grand Slam final, and it is becoming increasingly hard for her legions of fans to see further major glory in her future
