US Open 2016 - Jo Konta out after shock defeat to Sevastova

Jo Konta suffered a shock 6-4 7-5 defeat to unseeded Anastastija Sevastova in the fourth round of the US Open.
Konta never found her rhythm in the first match of the day in a sparsely-populated Arthur Ashe Stadium and fell to her unfancied Latvian opponent.
Sevastova squandered several opportunities to seal the match in the second set and appeared to be in tears at several points - however, she eventually summoned enough composure to see off the misfiring Konta.
It is a measure of Konta's progress over the last year that a last-16 Grand Slam exit feels like a disappointment, but this was a real missed chance for the Briton who was aiming for her second Grand Slam semi-final of the year and a top 10 ranking.
Konta lost her serve seven times, holding only four times, and had a 34:26 unforced error to winner ratio - having made just six errors against Belinda Bencic in the third round.
Sevastova will play either Madison Keys or Caroline Wozniacki after becoming the first Latvian woman to reach a Grand Slam quarter-final since 1994.
The world number 48 knocked out Garbine Muguruza in the second round, and is showing her quality after coming back to tennis in 2015 after nearly two years away from the sport.
She said: "It was hard moments in 2013. I was injured on and off, it was tough to play, it was not any fun and kind of depressing. But now I'm back."
