Defending champion Petra Kvitova was in ominous form as she destroyed Kiki Bertens in her opening match at Wimbledon.

The Czech star lost just a single point on her serve throughout the match - and that was a double fault in the final game, as she wrapped up a 6-1 6-0 victory in less just 35 minutes.
Bertens was overwhelmed by Kvitova's relentless barrage of winners and almost went the entire match without winning a point on the Czech's serve. Kvitova spared her blushes by serving that double fault when leading 5-0 in the second set, but the twice champion swiftly wrapped up the match.
After walking on court under sunny skies to gentle applause, the Czech broke twice to take the first set in 18 minutes and her 108th-ranked opponent failed to win a single game in the second.
"The atmosphere was unbelievable," said twice Wimbledon champion Kvitova, who made just three unforced errors throughout the match.
The second seed will next face either Japan's Kurumi Nara or Poland's Magda Linette, before potentially clashing with Britain's Laura Robson in the third round.
And while she is in the same quarter of the draw as last year's runner-up Eugenie Bouchard, Kvitova's outrageously good display suggests that she will enjoy a run to the final - particularly since key rivals Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova are both in the other half of the draw.
The Czech second seed battered Eugenie Bouchard in 55 minutes to lift the Rosewater Dish trophy 12 months ago.
