Costa Rica NUSF elects New Executive Committee (2017-2021)

COSTA RICA - On 25 May, at the National Stadium of Costa Rica, the Costa Rican University Sports Federation (FECUNDE) hosted its General Assembly.
The presentation of Work Plans, Reports of work of the Presidency, Treasurer and the Auditor were approved unanimously by the Assembly.
The election of the new Executive Committee resulted as follows:
President: Gerardo Corrales G.
Vice-President: Rosaura Mendez G.
Treasurer: Albert Torres
Secretary General: Rocio Carvajal
Director 1: Henry Ortiz V.
Director 2: Lisbeth Sánchez P.
Director 3: Jarby Loaiza S.
Auditor: Noelia Blanco Q.
This committee will continue its work developing the Costa Rican university sport, both public and private. One of the main tasks is to work hand in hand with all the national sports federations with the aim of promoting the double career of university athletes. Another goal is to promote gender equality in all its activities.
The president indicated that the next challenge is the Pan-American Beach Volleyball Championship in October and the participation in the Summer Universiade in Taipei.
Vice-President Rosaura Mendez will continue to closely work with FISUAMERICA and FISU.
