FISU President with UNESCO's Alexander Schischlik AARHUS - Tuesday, 4 April, turned out to be a day full of meetings at FISU Stand at SportAccord Convention 2017 in Aarhus.
Starting with International Korfball Federation President Jan Fransoo, the series of meetings continued with SportAccord's Matteo Vallini to discuss antidoping, UNESCO's Alexander Schischlik to talk about FISU Volunteer Leaders' Academy-2017, International E-sports Federation's Leopold Chung and Magnus Jonsson to negotiate on the cooperation in the framework of FISU WebGames. Later on, FISU President Oleg Matytsin and Secretary General/CEO Eric Saintrond met with International Gymnastics Federation counterparts: President Morinari Watanabe and Secretary General Andre Gueisbuhler.
The parties agreed to look into the ways of promoting new FIG disciplines, trampoline and parcour, among university athletes.
An important meeting was also held with a delegation from Berlin headed by Christian Gaebler, Permanent Secretary of the Berlin Senate Department for the Interior and Sport, as the German capitol was eager to find more about FISU events.
Located just nearby the entrance to the exhibition hall, it is no surprise that FISU stand attracted many renowned visitors. Among them were Thailand's Deputy Prime Minister General Tanasak Patimapragorn, IOC Vice-President Yu Zaiqing, Russian Minister of Sports Pavel Kolobkov and others.
