#IDUS2016 Celebration in Austria

KUFSTEIN - On the occasion of #IDUS2016, Unisport Austria has produced a presentation-video. All universities with a University Sports Department, the Federal Ministry of Defence and Sports, the Austrian Olympic Committee, the Austrian Sports Organization were asked to distribute this video through their media channels (Facebook, Twitter, etc.). The aim was to improve the awareness of University Sports in Austria.

The University of Applied Sciences in Kufstein/Tyrol organized a showcase project. The ‘International Day of University Sports’ was hosted as an interactive sports and cultural event on 20 September 2016, on campus of the Fachhochschule Kufstein in Tirol. This event was organized by UniSport Austria and as part of a business project by the students of the FH Kufstein, Tirol. A wide range of activities were organised such as workshops for Zumba, Hip-Hop, Yoga, work stations where strength, speed and skill could be measured as well as small sports tournaments in street basketball and performances by pole dancers and circus artists.

In addition, a first aid programme in sports accidents was organised as well.
