Alarming scenes as Ferrari catches fire in pit lane during 24 hours of Le Mans

Abdulaziz Al Faisal's Ferrari 458 Italia caught fire while his crew refuelled it during a pit stop in an alarming incident during the Le Mans 24hr race.

Everyone knows that the Le Mans showpiece can be incredibly dangerous, but no one was expecting to see this.

Al Faisal managed to scramble out of the car as it caught fire while his JMW Motorsports pit crew did a sterling job reacting to it very quickly.

Number 66, the Ferrari was a mess by the end of the sudden blaze.

"Oh, and a huge fire!" screamed the commentator as the driver leapt out of the car.

Fortunately, the fire was put out swiftly and no one was hurt, but it was a scary incident nonetheless.
