Michelisz inspires Nándori to eSports WTCC title lead
Márk Nándori moved into the lead of the eSports WTCC multiplayer championship hours after he received a good luck message from Norbert Michelisz.
The factory Honda driver in the FIA World Touring Car Championship began his WTCC journey by competing online and was keen to offer his support to Nándori, who harbours hopes of one day emulating his compatriot by racing on track for real.
Nándori now heads erstwhile pacesetter Alexander Dornieden from Germany with Dornieden absent from the Shanghai eSports WTCC round. Another German, Jan Stange’s hopes took a knock at Shanghai but with two events left – in Suzuka and Macau – the title battle is finely poised.
Meanwhile, Michelisz will be on WTCC duty when the all-new Ningbo International Speedpark hosts the action from 13-15 October.
