A thrilling final at the FIS World Cup in Are saw Austrians Matthias Mayer and Vincent Kriechmayr share the win after a photo finish on 1:20.21.
This marks Mayer's fifth World Cup win – and the third in the downhill discipline – while 26-year-old Kriechmayr, whose speciality is the super-G, is celebrating his first downhill success.
Austria prides itself on its affinity for the speed disciplines, and so far this season Mayer and Kriechmayr, alongside Hannes Reichelt and Max Franz, have claimed 12 podiums, including Kriechmayr's Super-G win in Colorado's Beaver Creek.
But Feuz, repeating his bronze finish at last month's Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, came in at 1:20.25, marking his seventh downhill podium of the season and taking him top of the rankings overall with 682 points.

Feuz claims revenge over Svindal with Downhill win in Åre

He has come close before, missing three crystal globes, including the overall, by 25 points back in 2012.
Meanwhile Feuz's closest rival, Norway's Aksel Lund Svindal, who won downhill gold at the Olympics as well as in Beaver Creek and Val Gardena, came fourth in Sweden today but claimed a silver medal overall with 612 points.
The bronze went to 24-year-old German Thomas Dressen, who has enjoyed a meteoric rise this season. He finished fifth in the downhill but secured 446 points overall, 60 points ahead of fourth-placed Dominik Paris, from Italy.
Kriechmayr and Mayer came fifth and sixth overall respectively, with totals of 384 and 348 points.
The competition continues in Sweden tomorrow with the super-G races starting at 10.30am local time, where Feuz will look to better his second-place finish from last weekend in Kvitfjell, Norway, as defending champion Peter Fill, from Italy, looks to retain his title.
