Saturday's giant slalom victor, Federica Brignone, was second for Italy, more than a second behind her compatriot, with Nadia Fanchini making it an Italian clean sweep of the podium as she finished 1.45s behind Goggia.
It was the first time Italy have ever blocked out the top three of a women's World Cup downhill race, and the first nation to do so since USA back in December 2014.
Goggia clocked a time of 1:04.00 and clocked an average speed of 99.00 kmh on the Austrian slopes for just the third World Cup podium of her career.
The win moves Goggia up to third in the downhill standings, just six points behind leader Tina Weirather who has 175 points, with Austria's Cornelia Hutter second on 172.
There was no movement in the overall standings, however, with America's Mikaela Shiffrin still leading the way on a massive 1381 points, 821 clear of her nearest rival.
