Dominik Paris went to the top of the Men’s Super-G standings with a fine victory at Kvitfjell on Sunday, his second victory of the weekend in Norway.
Having beaten rival Beat Feuz in the Downhill on Saturday, to close the gap between the pair in that discipline to just eighty points, Paris continued his superb form in the Super-G.
Seventh out of the gate Paris flew down the course, clocking a time of 1:29.20 to immediately jump into the leader’s chair.
Feuz pushed him close but could only manage third, 0.60 behind the Italian.
It was home favourite Kjetil Jansrud who finished second with a time of 1:29.63, 0.43 off the leader.
With just one more race of the Super-G season Paris is now in prime position, on 330 points atop of the standings, he is 44 points ahead of Vincent Kriechmayr in second.
It's Paris' 14th World Cup triumph in a speed event (super-G and downhill), which surpasses Kristian Ghedina's record of 13 wins for an Italian man.
