Henrik Kristoffersen continued his impressive recent World Cup record in Schladming as he claimed victory in the slalom on Tuesday to trim Marcel Hirscher's lead atop the standings.

The Norwegian completed the tricky course for a combined time of 1:39.83 over his two runs and that proved to be just enough to hold off home favourite and leader Hirscher and give Kristoffersen his third victory here in the last four years.
Hirscher's storming second run of 48.56seconds was almost enough to take victory but he had to settle for silver, 0.09 seconds back.
Third on the day was Russia's Alexander Khoroshilov, 0.63 seconds further back.
This was the second third-place finish for the Russian in two days after he also took bronze in Kitzbuhel on Sunday when Dave Ryding made history with a first British skiing medal since 1981.

Ryding could not replicate his silver medal on Tuesday however as he finished down in tenth.
But the day belonged to Kristoffersen who trails Hirscher by over 350 points overall but has trimmed the Austrian's lead in the slalom standings to only 80 points after his fifth win of the season.
