Hudson-Smith, who won the European 400m title last season, withdrew after suffering a calf injury, while Prescod's decision is due to his indiviudual aspirations cutting into relay training time.
Their replacements, while young, have had some experience on the international stage, however.
Haydock-Wilson will join the likes of Martyn Rooney in the 4x400m team, making his debut at the European Indoor Championships in Glasgow following a stellar individual season.
He ran a 46.88 in the 400m - his personal best - earlier this year.
Meanwhile, Gordon - who will link up with the 4x100m team - is the fastest Welshman currently competing.
With a lifetime aim of a sub-10s 100m time, he turned out for Great Britain in the men's relay at the Athletics World Cup last summer.
