The British team caused a shock as they held off the USA team with Usain Bolt pulling up injured in the final stretch.
First stage runner CJ Ujah said “It’s unbelievable, world champions,” whilst Adam Gemili said “This is just a dream and it’s a reality tonight.”

Danny Talbot was caught on TV willing on anchor Mitchell-Blake with the latter admitting he wasn’t sure if they had won.
“I wasn’t sure [if we’d won],” Mitchell-Blake said.
“I gave it my all, I dipped, but in my periphery I saw Coleman. I’m still trying to register that we’re actually world champions.”
The official time was 37.47s, the third fastest time in the 4x100m relay ever.
It capped off a good evening for Great Britain as the women’s 4x100m relay bounced back from the disappointment of Mo Farah failing to win gold by taking silver behind a very strong USA team.
