Shooting guard Wesley Matthews has signed with the Indiana Pacers as a free agent, the team announced Sunday.

After being traded to New York on Jan. 31 in a deal that sent Kristaps
Porzingis to Dallas, Matthews and the Knicks agreed to a contract buyout that
made him a free agent Thursday. According to multiple reports, Matthews
quickly agreed to join the Pacers, who still are reeling from the scoring and
leadership loss of Victor Oladipo. Oladipo went down with a season-ending
quadriceps injury last month.

Matthews averaged 13.1 points per game in 44 starts for Dallas this season. He
played in two games with New York, scoring a total of 14 points.
