Warriors, 76ers highlight NBA regular-season merch sales
For the third consecutive season, Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors are atop the NBA's list of most popular jerseys and team merchandise, respectively.
Rankings are based off sales from the league's official online store released
Among the other highlights, the Philadelphia 76ers were No. 3 in team
merchandise sales behind only the Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers. It's the
highest the Sixers have ranked since they finished the 2002-03 season in the
Philadelphia placed center Joel Embiid (eighth) and guard Ben Simmons (10th)
in the top 10 of jersey sales.
The Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics round out the top five most popular
Behind Curry in jersey sales is the Cavaliers' LeBron James, Warriors' Kevin
Durant, Bucks' Giannis Antetokounmpo and Celtics' Kyrie Irving.
Antetokounmpo's No. 4 finish is the highest ever by a Buck; he ranked No. 9 at
the end of the regular season last year.
Irving climbed seven spots from his No. 12 ranking in the NBA's January
Reigning MVP Russell Westbrook finished sixth in jersey sales, and MVP
favorite James Harden finished ninth. Los Angeles Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball
finished 12th, behind injured San Antonio Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard.
