The PyeongChang gold medallist was victorious in the 10km biathlon further strengthening his challenge to be crowned the first overall World Cup winner from Norway since his elder brother won in the 2010-11 season.
The 25-year-old's eighth World Cup win of the season was also his 30th career win and came by a 7.9s margin. Completing the podium was home favourite Benedikt Doll who came home just over ten seconds behind the winner.
Frenchman Martin Fourcade, who has won the overall World Cup title for a record seven consecutive years, could only manage a fourth-place finish.
