Thingnes Boe seals successive Biathlon World Cup wins
Johannes Thingnes Boe clinched back-to-back biathlon World Cup golds with victory in the 12.5km pursuit in Nove Mesto.
The Norwegian Olympic champion led from the off and held off Alexander Loginov to cross the line 6.2 seconds ahead of the Russian challenger and secure a fifth triumph of the season.
Boe is one of only two biathletes to have won World Cup gold this campaign alongside Martin Fourcade, who was able to battle to an impressive fifth-place finish after finishing 43rd in the sprint.
The Frenchman shot cleanly throughout to leap up the leaderboard, while Boe missed on four occasions in the showdown in Czech Republic.
Boe's brother, Tarjei, completed the podium by crossing the line 23.9 seconds behind his yellow bib wearing sibling.
