Warner Bros. Discovery will continue to be the home of world-class biathlon in the UK and Ireland after agreeing a deal with EBU to screen all International Biathlon Union (IBU) events on its platforms for the remainder of the season, effective immediately.
The new agreement means biathlon fans in the UK and Ireland will be able to watch the fifth round of the IBU Biathlon World Cup from Ruhpolding, Germany. Live coverage starts today (January 12) on Eurosport 1 and discovery+ from 12.55pm GMT, and continues across the weekend to its conclusion on January 15. The deal also encompasses the eagerly-awaited IBU Biathlon World Championships - set to take place next month from Oberhof, Germany.
In November, Warner Bros. Discovery confirmed a new agreement to show all IBU events on its platforms in 44 countries across Europe and Asia-Pacific regions, deepening its relationship with the IBU which extends more than 30 years.
In October, Warner Bros. Discovery announced its comprehensive multi-territory winter sports offer for the 2022-23 season, including 3,500 hours of live coverage across a variety of World Cup competitions including alpine skiing, nordic combined, ski jumping and cross-country disciplines from October to April.
