Friedrich and Margis make history with two-man bobsleigh gold

The duo came home in 3:16.71 from their combined four runs, 1.2 seconds ahead of nearest rivals Justin Kripps and Jesse Lumsden of Canada, to send the Koenigssee natives into raptures. It was the German duo's fourth straight two-man World Championship title, having led at the halfway stage from Saturday’s two runs. Friedrich is now one behind Italian pilot Eugenio Monti in the all-time World Championship titles list, with Monti winning five world crowns between 1957 and 1961.
