However a fine final run saw them draw level and they ended up tying with the Spring team with an overall time of 3:25.68.

Coming into the World Championships, Hall and Gleeson were looking to try and produce a performance that would perhaps go some way to alleviate their funding issues.

The pair have already been informed that as things stand they will have no funding for the run-up to the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.
