'I’m coming back' - Mayweather makes ‘nine-figure’ Pacquiao claim

Floyd Mayweather has announced a surprise return to professional boxing with a rematch fight against Manny Pacquiao through his Instagram page.

"I’m coming back to fight Manny Pacquiao this year. Another nine-figure pay day on the way”

The unbeaten 41-year-old boxer last stepped into the ring 13 months ago when he fought UFC star Conor McGregor to bring his record to 50 wins and no losses.

Mayweather and Pacquiao last met in 2015 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas where Mayweather won with a unanimous decision.

No further details have emerged regarding Mayweather's claim.
