BSB’s Scott Redding on his British Superbikes debut

Scott Redding couldn’t be more revved up for his debut season in the Bennetts British Superbike Championship. He comes from MotoGP with one aim: win the title.

“I am suited to the BSB style,” the 26-year-old Englishman tells Eurosport’s Greg Haines in Wednesday’s #FullThrottle podcast.

“I’m not into big motorhomes and all that stuff. I just like to go racing and do the best job you can, shake hands win or lose and see you at the next race. That’s the sort of style I like. That’s what BSB is like: great racing and getting properly stuck in while the fans go mental. That’s what I go racing for.”

Redding, a Grand Prix winner in the 125 and Moto2 categories as well as a MotoGP podium finisher, is quick to point out that no criticism will affect his mindset.

“A lot of people are saying, ‘Scott won’t handle this kind of racing.’ Well, like I have said to many people, I wasn’t born with a silver spoon in my mouth and I like to go bar-banging when I go racing, so I think it will suit me quite well!”
