British Superbikes: Shane Shakey Byrne sets the pace in Cadwell Park qualifying

Shane ‘Shakey’ Byrne will start on pole at Cadwell Park after setting the fastest lap in British Superbikes qualifying on Saturday.
Shakey went into Round 8 of BSB in the overall lead, despite having a number of hiccups this year, and wowed the crowd with some exceptional riding around the undulating Lincolnshire course.
Peter Hickman, Leon Haslam and Jake Dixon make up the rest of the fastest four in qualifying.
Byrne was almost eliminated in session two, only to pull his quickest lap out of the bag in the nick of time to avoid a poor starting position for Sunday's racing.
However, Shakey’s quick lap did relegate Josh Brookes into tenth, ensuring that the “King of the Mountain” sat out the final qualifying section and will start down the grid on Sunday.
The British Superbike riders will take to the track for Race 1 at 13:30 BST on Sunday and will return for Race 2 at 16:30.
