Dixon, 21, came off his bike with two minutes left of qualifying, but recovered without any serious injury a day after suffering a worse crash in free practice.
“In a way I am happy, but in a way I am a bit disappointed. We were on a good lap on that last lap and I really didn’t think I went into the hairpin that hot, and I thought I was two tenths up on the dash, but unfortunately went down,” said Dixon.
“I want to say a big thanks to the team. Yesterday I went down on track and it absolutely wrote the bike off, and I only managed to go out for the last ten minutes of FP2 so the boys did an amazing job and big thanks to them.”
