Bradley Ray edges out Jake Dixon to top qualifying at Silverstone

Bradley Ray continued his impressive form at Silverstone by finishing top in qualifying for the ninth round of the British Superbike Championship.
After finishing top of Friday practice, the Buildbase Suzuki from Ashford powered through the gloomy skies to clock a time of 53.864s - 0.158s ahead of Jake Dixon in second place.
Ducati rider Glenn Irwin finished third ahead of the first race of the weekend, which is live on Eurosport 2 at 3:30pm (BST) on Saturday afternoon.
Ray was the only rider to clock a 53-second lap to finish ahead of Dixon and Irwin on the front row.
Josh Brookes clocked an early lap of 55s before Ray produced laps of 54.001s and a 53.864s to establish his dominance..
