Chelsea make new £38m bid for Kalidou Koulibaly - reports

The defender was one of the Partenopei’s key men as they finished second last season, but wants to leave the club this summer.

Now Gianluca Di Marzio’s website reports that Chelsea have made a new bid of €45m [£37.7m] to bring Koulibaly to Stamford Bridge.

While Napoli have not yet responded to the offer, they may already be looking at alternatives, as it’s thought they’ve had a €22m bid turned down for Torino’s Nikola Maksimovic.

It looks set to be a busy summer transfer window in Naples, as Gonzalo Higuain has already left for Juventus, while Arkadiusz Milik and Corentin Tolisso are close to moving to San Paolo.
